The 2AN − B formula that Gujarat R&B, CPWD and most works tenders use to assess whether you are big enough to bid. Free, instant, no sign-up.

Assessed bid capacity
= (2 × A × N) − B

Indicative only. The exact A, N and B definitions and price-updation factors are set by each tender’s eligibility clause. Always read the tender document.

How bid capacity works

For works tenders, most Gujarat authorities set an eligibility bar called assessed bid capacity. You can only bid if your assessed capacity is at least the estimated cost of the work. The standard formula is Bid Capacity = (2 × A × N) − B, where A is the highest value of civil works you executed in any single year over the last five years (updated to today’s prices), N is the completion period of the tendered work in years, and B is the value of your existing commitments and ongoing works to be finished in the next N years.

The exact price-updation factor and the definition of A and B can vary by tender, so always confirm against the tender’s eligibility clause. BidShakti checks this automatically for every works tender when it gives you a Go/No-Go decision.
